Julian Hamann

Julian Hamann is a consultant rhinologist and ENT surgeon with specialist expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of nasal and sinus conditions in adults and children, including complex and revision nose and sinus surgery. He offers advanced treatments in these areas and is frequently called upon to provide second opinions on challenging cases.

He graduated from King’s College School of Medicine and completed specialist registrar training in ENT within the South Thames rotation. He received advanced training in nose and sinus surgery for both adults and children at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, the Evelina Hospital for Children, and the Royal Marsden Hospital.

In addition to his clinical expertise, Julian holds master’s degrees in Surgical Technology and Management from Imperial College London. He is actively involved in training the next generation of surgeons and serves on the regional surgical training committee of the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deanery. He regularly presents at national and international conferences on advances in healthcare.

Mr Hamann is dedicated to a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, ensuring comprehensive and evidence-based treatment. He convened and plays a key role in a pioneering rhinology multidisciplinary team (MDT), providing specialist expertise in the management of complex nasal and sinus conditions.

Previously head of the ENT department at Tunbridge Wells Hospital, Julian is now the clinical director of the Head & Neck Directorate at Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, overseeing clinical services and leading innovation in patient care. Beyond his clinical leadership, he serves as president of the Digital Health Section of the Royal Society of Medicine, reflecting his strong interest in the intersection of healthcare and technology.
